Shaded band is the middle half of live Buy It Now asking prices, weekly intervals; the line is the median. Auctions are excluded - a climbing bid is not an asking price. The scale follows the asking prices, so a sale well outside them is pinned to the edge rather than flattening the band.middle halfconfirmed salebest offer, at its cap

Original 1940 Gum Inc. #19 Superman Wings Of Mercy
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $165.00

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border moderately wider than bottom (~60/40 T/B) — centering is passable for the grade range but not tight. Corners show visible rounding on all four, most pronounced at the lower corners, consistent with significant handling wear. Surface shows heavy toning/yellowing across the entire card face, which is expected for an 83-year-old card but represents meaningful gloss loss; there is also apparent light soiling or foxing in spots. Edges appear moderately worn with some roughness but no obvious tears or paper loss visible. No creases are definitively confirmed from this single front photo, but the surface texture and toning suggest possible light creasing that cannot be ruled out — the back is not shown and could reveal additional defects. This is a highly desirable early Superman issue in a grade range that reflects honest heavy age wear; a confirmed crease on the back would push this toward a 2.

Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $199.00

A prominent vertical crease runs nearly the full height of the card through the center — visible from across the room and almost certainly a hard crease rather than a fold, which is the dominant grade-capping defect here. Centering estimate: left border ~15%, right border ~10%, top border ~10%, bottom border ~12% — reasonably centered, perhaps 60/40 L-R and 55/45 T-B, not an issue at this grade level. All four corners appear rounded with moderate-to-heavy wear consistent with a circulated 80-year-old card; no corner is sharp. Surface shows general toning and dirtying expected for the era, with some additional scuffing visible around the crease area. The hard vertical crease alone pushes this firmly into the VG-to-VG-EX corridor at best, with rounded corners supporting a PSA 3 (VG) as the most likely outcome; a PSA 4 is possible if the crease grades as a light fold under direct examination, but PSA 2 is realistic if the crease has fiber stress or breaks. Back cannot be assessed from this photo.
