Index grading notes
Centering estimate from photo: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top and bottom borders appear roughly even (~50/50 T/B) — centering is acceptable for VG-EX range. Colors are genuinely bold and vivid for a 1940 card. No creases are visible from this single front image, consistent with seller's claim. Corner assessment is limited by the slight camera angle, but all four corners appear to show at least moderate rounding — consistent with honest wear at the VG-EX level; sharp corners would push toward EX (5). Surface shows some paper grain/texture typical of this era but no obvious staining or major print defects. Without a back image and close corner shots, the range must remain wide; this card most likely grades PSA 4 (VG-EX), with a realistic ceiling of 5 (EX) if corners prove sharper than they appear, and a floor of 3 (VG) if any hidden crease is revealed under submission scrutiny.
Centering estimate: left/right borders appear approximately 70/30 favoring left, top/bottom roughly 60/40 - off-center but not severely miscut. Multiple visible creases are confirmed and clearly evident in the photo, including what appears to be a significant diagonal crease running through the lower left and mid-card area, consistent with a grade-capping defect. Corner wear is substantial with rounding visible on all accessible corners. Surface shows general gloss loss, toning, and soiling consistent with 80+ years of age.
