1940 Gum Inc Superman #45 The Runaway Ship — Raw

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border appears moderate, bottom border is partially obscured by the card stand but appears thin (~60/40 T/B) — centering is not a primary concern here. Corners show visible rounding on all four corners, most evident at upper left and lower right, consistent with significant handling wear typical of a VG specimen. Surface shows substantial toning/yellowing across the card face, with what appears to be light soiling or wear to the printed surface; gloss is essentially gone. Edges appear frayed and fibrous, consistent with this card's era and heavy circulation. No single devastating crease is clearly visible from this angle, but the overall surface texture and corner wear place this firmly in the VG-to-VG-EX range; the back and any hidden creases could push this lower. A raw 1940 Gum Superman in this condition is a legitimately scarce card regardless of grade.
