Index grading notes

Centering estimate: left border ~8%, right border ~6%, top border ~7%, bottom border ~9% — left/right approximately 57/43 and top/bottom approximately 44/56, centering is relatively decent for this set but slightly bottom-heavy. Corners show visible rounding on all four, most notably the lower-left and upper-left, consistent with a VG-EX to EX range. Surface shows moderate toning/aging consistent with an 80-year-old card with no obvious hard creases visible from this scan, though the image resolution is not sufficient to rule out light surface creases definitively. Gloss appears largely gone with some general surface wear; no tears, staining, or writing observed. The rough cut edges are normal for this 1940 Gum Inc. issue and are not penalized. Back is unseen, and limited corner resolution prevents a tighter range.

Centering estimate: left/right borders appear roughly 60/40 and top/bottom roughly 55/45 - centering itself is not the primary concern here. The card shows very heavy wear consistent with a PR-FR to GOOD range: the surface exhibits significant paper stock degradation with a washed-out, faded appearance across the entire card, corners are heavily rounded and worn with visible fiber fraying, and the edges show rough wear throughout. There is notable toning and overall soiling to the cardstock. The seller's self-disclosed 'Poor' grade aligns with what is visible - this is likely a PSA 1 PR with possible upgrading to a 2 GOOD if the back is cleaner and no hard creases or paper loss are present, though the front surface condition strongly suggests the lower end. No tears or writing are visible from this angle, which keeps a '2' ceiling possible, but overall deterioration leans toward a 1.

Centering estimate: left/right borders appear roughly 55/45, top/bottom roughly 50/50 - centering is not the primary issue here. The card shows significant surface wear including what appears to be at least one diagonal crease running across the upper-left quadrant through Superman's fist/arm area, and possible additional creasing in the lower portion. Corner wear is substantial with visible rounding on all four corners. Gloss appears largely gone with evident toning and surface soiling consistent with 80+ years of age. The COMC watermark partially obscures surface detail assessment, but the visible damage - multiple creases, heavy corner wear, and gloss loss - places this firmly in the Good to VG range; the diagonal crease alone is grade-limiting. Back condition unknown.
