Index grading notes

Centering appears roughly 70/30 left-to-right and 65/35 top-to-bottom, which would normally be acceptable for a mid-grade, but the seller explicitly discloses creases and at least one is visible in the lower-left quadrant area; surface creasing is the dominant grade-killer here. Corners show moderate-to-heavy rounding consistent with a VG or lower card - all four corners appear soft with no points remaining. Edges show wear but no major chips or tears visible. The image art itself retains some color vibrancy, but gloss loss is apparent and the card body shows surface distress consistent with significant handling over 80+ years; the disclosed crease(s) cap this firmly in the Good-to-VG range (PSA 2-3), with the crease visibility and corner rounding pulling toward the lower end.

Centering estimate: left border appears noticeably narrower than right (~70/30 left-right), top border slightly narrower than bottom (~55/45 top-bottom), so horizontal centering is a meaningful concern. All four corners show visible rounding consistent with significant handling — no sharp points remain, placing this firmly in the VG to VG-EX range at best. The card surface shows what appears to be a diagonal crease running through the lower-left to center area, consistent with a VG (3) or lower grade; if that line is a printing artifact rather than a crease it would push toward VG-EX (4). Edges are worn and slightly frayed. The 1940 vintage card stock is consistent with expected aging, with moderate color retention but noticeable gloss loss. Back is not visible, so any additional staining, writing, or creasing on the reverse cannot be assessed — range widened downward to account for that uncertainty.
