1977 OPC Star Wars Stickers #27 A closer look at a "Jawa" — Raw

Centering: left/right borders appear roughly 45/55 and top/bottom roughly 50/50 — not a severe centering issue. The seller notes 'staining' (confirmed in the banner below the image), and the card surface appears to show some mottling/discoloration consistent with staining, which is a significant surface defect. Corners cannot be assessed with precision due to the COMC watermark and image resolution, but the sticker edges appear intact without obvious tears. The staining alone typically caps the grade in the 2–4 range depending on severity and extent; without a clean high-resolution photo free of the watermark, a precise assessment is difficult. Grade range reflects uncertainty between light staining (EX range) and more pervasive staining (GOOD range).

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L-R), top border marginally wider than bottom (~55/45 T-B) — centering is acceptable and not a primary grade detractor. Corners: at this photo resolution the corners appear softly rounded rather than sharp; at least two corners (top-left, bottom-right) show visible rounding consistent with EX to VG-EX range. Surface: no obvious creases detected but gloss level appears reduced and there is a slightly mottled/worn look to the sticker face that suggests moderate handling. Edges appear intact with no tears or major chips visible, but the coarser die-cut edge typical of these stickers makes a precise edge read difficult; a corner and surface inspection in hand would be needed to confirm whether this lands closer to a 5 EX or 4 VG-EX.

Centering: left/right borders appear approximately 60/40 favoring left, top/bottom roughly 55/45 — acceptable for vintage sticker stock. Corners appear to have moderate rounding visible even at this scan resolution, particularly the lower-left and upper-right, suggesting wear consistent with an EX or VG-EX range. Surface shows no obvious creases from this angle but some gloss loss is apparent in the image area; the sticker border's film-strip design looks intact with no major chipping or peeling. No writing, tears, or staining visible, but corner detail and back condition (including sticker peel status) cannot be assessed from this single front image, warranting a widened range.
