Index grading notes

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border appears slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — reasonably well centered, no OC concern. Corners appear mostly sharp with possible very light wear on one or two corners (hard to confirm at this resolution without closeups). The red border shows no obvious chipping or heavy wear, which is the key vulnerability for this set. Surface gloss appears intact with no visible creases or major print defects, consistent with the seller's NM claim. Without corner macro shots or a back image, the range must stay wide; a hidden crease, soft corner, or back-side issue could push this into the 5-6 range, while truly sharp corners could support an 8.

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — centering is quite good for this notoriously off-center set, comfortably within NM-MT range on that dimension alone. The red borders show no obvious chipping visible at this resolution. All four corners appear reasonably sharp with no obvious rounding visible, though the lower-left corner looks very slightly soft compared to the others — hard to confirm at this zoom level. Surface appears to have good gloss retention with no visible creases or staining. The back is not visible so hidden defects (creases, stains, write-marks) cannot be ruled out, and corner condition at high magnification could drop this a grade; range is widened accordingly.

Image is heavily blurred and shot at an angle, making precise assessment very difficult. Centering estimate: left border appears notably wider than right (~70/30 L/R), top and bottom borders appear roughly 60/40 — centering is noticeably off-center horizontally, consistent with the known wandering centering on 1977 Topps Star Wars. The yellow borders show no obviously catastrophic chipping visible at this resolution, but the blur hides fine corner and edge detail entirely. The card appears to have some warp/curl suggesting possible humidity exposure or handling wear. Without a sharp, flat, well-lit photo — especially corner closeups — a wide range of 3–6 is the honest call; the off-centering and likely handling wear push the point estimate toward 4 VG-EX.
