Index grading notes
Centering (left/right): the blue left border appears noticeably wider than the right border, estimating roughly 65-70% left / 30-35% right — off but not extreme; top/bottom appears closer to 55/45. More damaging are the surface and border conditions: the blue border shows heavy chipping and white wear marks across multiple edges, most visibly along the top and left sides — classic 1977 Star Wars blue-border chip wear consistent with a VG (3) or lower grade. Corners cannot be examined in tight closeup but what is visible suggests rounding on at least two corners, consistent with significant handling. The image photo itself is dark and angled, making surface crease assessment difficult; no definitive crease is confirmed but cannot be ruled out given overall wear. Given the significant blue border chipping and apparent corner wear, a PSA 3 (VG) is the most likely outcome, with a range of 2–4 depending on what the back and corners reveal under better lighting.
Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (roughly 55/45 L/R), top border appears moderately wider than bottom (roughly 60/40 T/B) — centering is acceptable but not tight. The blue borders show visible chipping/wear along the left and bottom edges consistent with this notoriously fragile border stock, which is the primary grade-limiter here. Corners are partially obscured by the screw-down holder and glare, but what is visible on the upper-right and lower-right suggests moderate-to-light wear rather than sharp crispness — consistent with EX-MT to NM range. Surface gloss appears moderate with some print texture visible; no obvious creases detected but the holder and glare prevent a confident surface read. The hard plastic holder is not a PSA slab and the card is effectively raw; the blue border chipping and corner wear visible through the holder point to a PSA 6 (EX-MT) as the most likely outcome, with 7 possible if corners are sharper than they appear and border wear is lighter than it reads through the glare.
