Topps Star Wars Base Set 1977 Non-Sport Trading Card #179 St
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · LOW confidence · asking $45.00

Centering estimate: left border appears notably wider than right (~70/30 L/R), top border appears slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — left-to-right centering is clearly off but not miscut territory. The yellow border shows visible chipping and wear consistent with heavy handling, particularly along the right and bottom edges. Surface shows significant 'crinkle' or surface wrinkling/creasing across much of the image area — this is the dominant grade-killer; what appears to be paper stress or a surface crease pattern is visible across the photo area, consistent with a PSA 2-3 range. Corners are obscured by finger and angle but visible corners appear rounded with wear. The card is gradable but the apparent surface wrinkling/creasing strongly suppresses the ceiling; collector should note this card likely carries a qualifier (surface crease) if submitted.

1977 Topps STAR WARS Series 3 Yellow #179 Stormtroopers sear
Estimated grade: 6 (5–7) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $6.00

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border appears noticeably wider than bottom (~60/40 T/B) — centering is acceptable but not tight. All four corners appear to have light to moderate wear with slight rounding visible, particularly on the bottom corners, consistent with EX-MT to NM range. The yellow border shows no obvious chipping or major edge wear but some softness along the bottom edge is apparent. Surface gloss appears reasonably intact with no visible creases or staining, though the scan quality limits assessment of fine print defects or gloss loss. Back is not visible, which introduces grade uncertainty; the range accounts for possible hidden wear on reverse.

1977 TOPPS STAR WARS CARD #179 YELLOW SERIES HIGH GRADE MINT
Estimated grade: 7 (6–8) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $3.99

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~60/40 L/R), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — centering is acceptable for a 7-8 range. Yellow borders appear reasonably clean with no obvious chipping or heavy corner wear visible at this resolution. Corners look relatively sharp but the photo angle and modest resolution prevent definitive corner assessment — at least one corner shows slight softening suggesting light wear consistent with NM condition. Surface gloss appears intact with no visible creases or staining. The seller's 'high grade mint' claim seems plausible but slightly optimistic; without a sharp macro corner shot and back inspection, a PSA 7-8 range is the honest estimate, with 7 NM as the most likely single grade.
