1977 Star Wars, “Waiting in the Control Room” card #77
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $18.00

Centering estimate: left border appears notably wider than right (~65-70% left / 30-35% right), and top border is slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — moderate-to-significant left-right miscentering consistent with typical 1977 Topps Star Wars production variance but still penalizable. The red border shows visible chipping/wear along all four edges, particularly the left and bottom edges where the red shows nicks and breaks in the coating. All four corners appear rounded to varying degrees — upper-left and lower-right show the most rounding, consistent with handling wear. Surface gloss appears partially lost with some scuffing visible in the photo, and the card stock shows mild soiling or toning overall. No creases are definitively confirmed from this photo, but the overall wear pattern — rounded corners, edge chipping, and gloss loss — places this card firmly in the VG to VG-EX range; absence of a confirmed crease keeps it out of GOOD territory, but corner and edge wear prevents anything above VG-EX.

1977 Topps Star Wars Waiting in the Control Room #77 0c41
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $8.88

Centering estimate: left border notably wider than right (~65/35 L/R), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — off but not catastrophically so horizontally. The red border shows visible chipping and wear along all four edges, consistent with heavy handling. Corners appear rounded — the bottom-left corner looks notably soft and the bottom-right also shows rounding visible even at this resolution, consistent with a VG (3) range card. A vertical crease or stress line is visible running through the upper portion of the card face, which is a significant surface flaw pushing this toward the lower end of the range. Gloss appears partially intact but surface wear and the crease together cap this card in the 2-4 range; the watermark obstructs full surface assessment.

Topps 1977 Star Wars #7 Waiting in the Control Room C-3PO R2
Estimated grade: 5 (4–7) · LOW confidence · asking $5.00

Centering estimate: left/right borders appear approximately 60/40 favoring left, top/bottom roughly 55/45 — acceptable for vintage Topps Star Wars but not tight. The red border shows no obvious chipping visible at this resolution, but glare from the plastic case obscures edge and corner detail significantly. Corners cannot be assessed with precision; what little is visible suggests mild to moderate rounding consistent with EX to NM range, but the soft focus and case glare prevent confident corner grading. Surface appears intact with no obvious creases visible, but gloss level and print quality cannot be confirmed through the case reflection. Range is widened substantially due to obstructions — a corner closeup outside the case would be required to tighten this estimate meaningfully.
