Topps 1977 Star Wars Base Set Card #99 "Ben with the light s
Estimated grade: 4 (3–5) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $4.84

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border visibly narrower than bottom (~60/40 T/B) — acceptable for this set but not tight. The red border shows visible chipping and wear along all four edges, most notably at the top-left and bottom-right corners which display moderate rounding consistent with handling wear. Surface shows scattered light scratches/scuffs across the photo area visible under this lighting, and there is some gloss loss. No creases are clearly visible from this photo, though the card has an overall worn appearance; the back is unseen so a hidden crease cannot be ruled out. This combination of corner rounding, edge/border chipping, and surface wear points to a VG-EX (4) with EX (5) as the optimistic ceiling if corners are slightly better than they appear.

Ben with the Light Sabre! - 1977 Star Wars #99 - ungraded
Estimated grade: 5 (4–6) · MEDIUM confidence · asking —

Centering estimate: left/right borders appear approximately 60/40 favoring left, top/bottom roughly 55/45 favoring top — within acceptable range but slightly off. The red borders show visible chipping/wear on at least two corners (lower left and lower right appear rounded under the sleeve), consistent with EX to VG-EX range. Surface gloss appears partially intact but sleeve glare obscures a full read; no obvious creases are visible in the photo though the card stock shows some stress lines that may be sleeve compression artifacts. Edge wear on the red border is typical for this set but the corner rounding pushes this below NM territory; back is not visible so hidden flaws (creases, staining) could pull the grade lower.
