DARTH VADER: 1977 Star Wars Wonder Bread SPECIAL INSERT PROM
Estimated grade: 5 (4–6) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $169.99

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly narrower than right (~55/45 L/R), top border appears notably thinner than bottom (~65/35 T/B), so centering is acceptable but not crisp. Corners: the upper-left corner shows the most visible wear with what appears to be slight blunting; the other three corners look reasonably intact but not sharp — consistent with a PSA 5-6 range. Surface: there is mild gloss loss visible and some light surface speckling/print snow that is typical for Wonder Bread cards of this era (rough cut stock, not penalized heavily); no obvious creases are visible from this angle. Edges appear intact with no chipping. The sleeve glare obscures the upper surface detail somewhat, preventing a confident assessment of deeper surface issues; the back is unseen, which could lower the grade if wear or staining is present.

1977 Wonder Bread Star Wars Food Issue Darth Vader #5 00ah
Estimated grade: 6 (5–7) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $109.73

Centering: left border appears narrower than right (approximately 70/30 left-to-right); top border appears slightly wider than bottom, roughly 55/45 top-to-bottom — centering is off horizontally but not severely. Corners appear slightly soft with minor rounding visible at at least two corners, consistent with light handling wear. Surface shows decent gloss retention with no visible creases from this angle; the blue strip and yellow name banner appear clean and intact. The COMC watermark partially obscures the lower surface, preventing full assessment of that region; back is not visible, and Wonder Bread food-issue cards are known to have rough cuts and surface texture as production norms, so edge texture should not be over-penalized.

Star Wars Topps 1977 Wonder Bread Darth Vader #5
Estimated grade: 2 (1–3) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $99.00

Centering estimate: left border appears significantly wider than right (~70/30 left-to-right), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 top-to-bottom) - centering is problematic on the horizontal axis. More critically, the corners show obvious rounding and wear - all four corners appear soft to blunted, with the lower-left corner showing particularly heavy wear or possible paper damage. The card surface shows significant scuffing, print degradation, and what appears to be moisture or handling damage on the image area itself (notably on Vader's helmet). The edges appear rough and worn. The overall surface gloss is largely gone. This card presents as heavy play-worn, consistent with a PSA 2 GOOD grade; the corner and surface condition prevent a 3, and there is no evidence of major tears or writing that would push to a 1, though the back cannot be assessed from this photo.

1977 Star Wars Wonder Bread #5 DARTH VADER CLEAN SHARP
Estimated grade: 6 (5–7) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $84.95

Centering estimate: left border appears notably thinner than right border (approx 70/30 left-right); top and bottom borders appear relatively even at roughly 55/45 - the horizontal centering is the primary concern here. Corners appear reasonably sharp with at most very light wear visible; no obvious blunting or rounding is detectable at this photo resolution, suggesting at least EX-MT corner quality. Surface gloss appears decent with no visible creases, staining, or print defects beyond minor wear; the seller's 'clean sharp' description seems broadly consistent with what is visible. Edge quality on the cut borders looks typical for Wonder Bread issue cards which were often rough-cut; the left-right centering tilt is the main grade limiter, pushing the estimate toward EX-MT rather than NM territory, and closer examination of corners and back condition (unavailable) could move the grade up or down within this range.
