Shaded band is the middle half of live Buy It Now asking prices, 6-hour intervals; the line is the median. Auctions are excluded - a climbing bid is not an asking price. The scale follows the asking prices, so a sale well outside them is pinned to the edge rather than flattening the band.middle halfconfirmed salebest offer, at its cap

Superman 1940 Gum Card #16 Mountain Tragedy
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $100.00

Centering estimate: left border appears narrower than right (roughly 60/40 L-R favoring right), top border slightly tighter than bottom (approximately 55/45 T-B) - centering is not ideal but not catastrophically off-center. The card shows significant overall age toning/yellowing consistent with the era, which is expected but still noted. Corners appear rounded and worn - at least two corners (top-left and bottom-right visible) show clear rounding consistent with a VG (3) grade. Surface shows visible creasing or wrinkling near the upper center of the card, which is a meaningful surface defect pushing this toward the 2-3 range. Gloss loss is evident across the face. The photo angle and lighting obscure fine corner and edge detail, widening the range; a true 4 is possible if the apparent surface crease is shallower than it appears, but the combination of rounded corners, toning, and surface disturbance most likely lands this at PSA 3.

1940 Superman Gum - R145 #16 Mountain Tragedy Rare!
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $125.00

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly narrower than right (~55/45 L/R), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — centering is not a primary concern here. Corners show visible rounding on all four, consistent with a VG card. Surface shows multiple creases — at least one prominent diagonal crease running through the center of the card is clearly visible, along with what appears to be additional lighter creasing near the top; this is the dominant grade-suppressing factor. Edges appear worn and slightly rough but within normal range for an 80-year-old card of this type. Gloss appears largely gone with toning/aging throughout the cream-colored card stock, which is expected for the era. The overall condition profile — rounded corners, multiple visible creases, gloss loss — places this firmly in the VG (3) range, with a plausible floor of GOOD (2) if the back shows additional wear or staining not visible here.

1940 R145 Superman Gum Inc. #16 Mountain Tragedy
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $289.99

Centering estimate: left border appears noticeably wider than right (~60% left / 40% right L/R), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — centering is off but not severely so. The upper-left corner shows visible paper loss or a chip, and the lower-left corner also appears rounded and damaged, consistent with at least moderate wear; the right-side corners are partially cut off by the image crop but appear to show some rounding as well. Surface shows toning/browning consistent with the era (tan stock) and there is visible soiling or foxing on the lower-left corner area. No crease is clearly confirmed from this angle but the overall surface and corner wear point to a VG (3) grade, with the damaged upper-left corner potentially dragging it to a GOOD (2); a clean back with no creases could push it to VG-EX (4) territory. Back is not visible, limiting confidence.
