Shaded band is the middle half of live Buy It Now asking prices, 6-hour intervals; the line is the median. Auctions are excluded - a climbing bid is not an asking price. The scale follows the asking prices, so a sale well outside them is pinned to the edge rather than flattening the band.middle halfconfirmed salebest offer, at its cap

Superman Gum Card #43 Fight In Mid-Air 1940
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $149.95

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border slightly wider than bottom (~55/45 T/B) — centering itself is not the primary concern here. More significantly, there is visible paper loss/damage on the left edge mid-card (appears as a white scuff or peel), which is a condition-limiting defect. Corners appear rounded with wear consistent with a VG-range card. Surface shows some gloss loss and possible light creasing near the lower center area, though the angle of the photo makes it difficult to confirm crease depth. The card presents as a solid VG (3) with the paper loss potentially pushing it toward a 2 depending on severity; the centering is acceptable but surface/corner/edge wear dominates the grade. Range widened to account for hidden back condition and uncertain severity of the left-edge damage.

Superman Gum Inc. card #43 Fight in Mid-Air 1940 R145
Estimated grade: 2 (2–3) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $150.00

Centering estimate: left border ~6mm, right border ~5mm (L/R roughly 55/45 - acceptable), top border ~5mm, bottom border ~6mm (T/B roughly 45/55 - acceptable); centering is not the primary concern here. The card shows multiple visible surface creases running diagonally across the face - at least two prominent creases are clearly evident in the mid-card area and lower left quadrant, consistent with heavy handling. Corners appear rounded with moderate-to-significant wear, particularly at the upper left and lower left. Gloss appears largely lost across the surface. Edge wear is present on all sides. The combination of multiple visible creases, corner rounding, and significant gloss loss places this firmly in the Good (2) to VG (3) range; the crease severity leans toward a PSA 2, though if the creases are shallower than they appear under this lighting a 3 is possible.

1940 SUPERMAN CARD #43 FIGHT IN MID AIR E88
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $175.00

Centering estimate: left border appears notably wider than right (roughly 80/20 L/R), top border wider than bottom (roughly 70/30 T/B), placing centering in the VG-EX to VG range at best. All four corners show visible rounding consistent with genuine wear — no sharp points remain, pointing to VG or below. The surface shows significant overall toning/aging and gloss loss typical of this 83-year-old issue; there appear to be light surface creases or handling marks in the mid-card area, though the photo resolution makes it difficult to definitively distinguish creases from printing artifact or scan noise. Edges appear intact without tears or paper loss, which prevents a grade of 1-2 on damage alone; combined corner rounding, apparent crease(s), and gloss loss land this squarely in the PSA 3 VG range, with 2 possible if creases confirm more severely on hand inspection.

1940 R145 Superman Gum Inc. #43 Fight in Mid-Air
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $389.99

Centering estimate: left border appears notably wider than right (approx 70/30 left-to-right), top border slightly wider than bottom (approx 60/40 top-to-bottom), so centering is off but not catastrophically miscut. Corners show visible rounding on all four corners, most pronounced at bottom-left and bottom-right, consistent with significant handling. Surface shows toning/aging consistent with 80+ year old card stock and there appears to be some light soiling or foxing, with the overall image displaying typical vintage print quality with minor color bleed. No obvious hard creases are visible from this scan but the image resolution and angle make it impossible to rule out light surface creases; the condition indicators (rounded corners, toning, off-centering) most consistently point to a VG (PSA 3) grade, with VG-EX (4) possible if corners are better than they appear and surface is cleaner than suspected.
