Shaded band is the middle half of live Buy It Now asking prices, 6-hour intervals; the line is the median. Auctions are excluded - a climbing bid is not an asking price. The scale follows the asking prices, so a sale well outside them is pinned to the edge rather than flattening the band.middle halfconfirmed salebest offer, at its cap

1940 Gum inc. Superman #44 Disaster at the Circus in lower g
Estimated grade: 1 (1–2) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $96.38

Centering estimate: left border appears significantly narrower than right (~70/30 L/R), top border is very narrow vs. bottom (~65/35 T/B) — off-center but the more severe issues are structural. The card shows significant paper loss/peeling on the upper left quadrant, with large chunks of the card surface lifted or missing entirely — this alone constitutes major surface damage pushing toward PR-FR (1). The lower-left corner shows a tear or chip with paper loss, and the left edge is heavily worn with additional peeling. Multiple corners show rounding and wear. There is no visible crease per se but the paper loss and surface lifting are more damaging than a crease; overall condition is consistent with a PSA 1 (Poor/Fair) with a slim chance of PSA 2 if a grader weighs the relatively intact image area charitably, but the paper loss is severe and likely grade-capping at 1.

Superman Gum 1940 #44 Disaster at the Circus Non-Sport Tradi
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · LOW confidence · asking $111.92

Centering estimate: left border appears slightly wider than right (~55/45 L/R), top border appears narrower than bottom (~40/60 T/B) — centering is off but not severely miscut. The card stock shows significant age toning/yellowing throughout, consistent with an 80-year-old card. Corners appear rounded at all four points even through the soft focus, suggesting wear consistent with VG or lower. Surface shows what appears to be general gloss loss and possible light creasing though the photo blur prevents definitive crease identification. The overall presentation — toned paper, rounded corners, apparent gloss loss — points to a PSA 3 VG range, though a back-surface crease or more severe wear could push this to a 2; condition is difficult to pin down precisely due to image softness.

1940 R145 Superman Gum Inc. #44 Disaster at the Circus
Estimated grade: 3 (2–4) · MEDIUM confidence · asking $389.99

Centering estimate: left border appears notably wider than right (roughly 70/30 L-R), top border slightly wider than bottom (approximately 60/40 T-B), indicating moderate to significant left-heavy miscentering that alone would push toward EX or below. All four corners show visible rounding with no sharp points remaining, consistent with a VG-range card. Surface shows general toning/aging typical of 80-year-old gum cards, with some light soiling or foxing spots visible particularly in the upper portion of the card. No obvious hard creases are clearly visible in this scan, but the image resolution at corners is insufficient to rule out light creasing or surface breaks; the back is unseen. Overall condition reads as a solid VG (3) with a possible VG-EX (4) ceiling if corners are slightly better than they appear and no reverse issues exist.
